1990-2015 Miata Special Projects
Miatas are debatably the most DIY-friendly cars for enthusiasts. For that reason we really don’t take on projects for older generations of Miatas. There’s not a lot of demand for them, and we find that we have to go back and undo a lot of poor work previous owners performed in the AutoZone parking lot…..but we do make exceptions for special cases.
If your Miata is basically unmodified and/or very low mileage, contact us with what you need/want for your Miata, and we’ll let you know if we can get it done for you.
The car featured below is a 1996 Miata that was handed down from the original owner to another family member. It had been sitting for many years, was leaking everywhere except the oil pan itself, and was generally just worn out in everyway….but it was completely stock and completely rust-free despite 100k+ on the odometer.
This project was a mild restoration featuring a deep cleaning, a complete mechanical overhaul over nearly every aspect of the car from the worn out clutch to the worn out roof latches, and resolving all the problematic & leaky gaskets and o-rings.
Now this little Miata is real gem with a whole new lease on life!
